Service adjacent to therapy and private coaching, I believe 1:1 mentorship should be priced similarly. I’m an engineer at heart, so I emphasize the value of getting as much bang for my buck as I can. I'm also a firm believer in making strong investments into my future. Just like I've invested in myself and my own growth, I believe the highest ROI a parent can receive is investing in their teen; in who they’re becoming, their confidence, emotional skills, their ability to communicate, and the relationship you'll have with them for the rest of your life.

Weekly parent updates: A written briefing after every single teen session
Parent review calls: 2 calls (Week 4 and Week 8), 45 minutes each
In-depth progress and expectations discussion with parents, open forum for questions, followed by a written summary of the discussion and any updated expectations or direction
Final written summary - A thorough review of progress, commitments, and recommendations.
CFM Intensive, this expands further to include:
An in-person launch session with your family, bringing a full agenda so no topic goes undiscussed
6 additional parent calls — 45 minutes each, so essentially we discuss progress once per week
1 family session — 60 minutes, scheduled when it will be most useful
Is mentorship expensive?
The simple answer is mentorship is expensive because it works. If you want a mentor who will make a meaningful impact on your teen's life, you need to be prepared to invest in a mentor who can make that happen.
And without getting too metaphorical, choosing to invest in mentorship is itself a commitment to the outcome. When you make a real choice with your resources, you end up showing up more fully and with more commitment than for things you can get for free. This puts skin in the game and drives real commitment for all parties involved.

At $150/session for CFM Foundations, that puts pricing in line with what you'd already expect to pay for therapy or a life coach, without the added costs of getting there. Online mentorship lowers the total cost of care once you account for no commute, parking, and no time off work to travel to an office.
Is mentorship covered by insurance?
Mentorship will not typically fall under covered benefits of insurance, but there are still benefits of self pay/not involving insurance.
Confidentiality: Using insurance means your insurer becomes aware of your diagnosis, dates of service, and visit frequency, and can access your record for audit or review.
Choice: You're not limited to remaining 'in network'. You have the freedom to choose the mentor that speaks to you and directly connects and resonates with you.
What if it doesn't work out?
Generally, payments are non-refundable once the program begins. If I determine that services should end due to misaligned scope, fit, or appropriateness, I’ll issue a prorated refund for unused prepaid sessions at the per-session rate.
As part of the Founding Family rate, if after the first 2 completed sessions, you determine that CFM is not the right fit, and your family has participated in good faith, CFM will retain payment for the two completed sessions at the prorated per-session rate and refund the remaining balance.
